Festive Christmas Food Accents

 

Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year and I love small festive touches added to drinks, tables, and food. It’s important to add items that won’t end up in a landfill so I always focus on plant-based touches. My favorites are cranberries, oranges, and rosemary! Here’s two ways we’ve spruced up our Christmas table without adding to the landfill:

Festive Champagne:

  1. Add 7 cranberries to the bottom of a champagne glass

  2. Fill glass 75% full

  3. Drop in sprig of rosemary and voila!

Easy Cheese Board:

  1. Add cheese to board

  2. Take rosemary sprigs and push the sharp ends into cranberries

  3. Optional: Dried apricots, cherries, and cranberries can be added for additional color

Decorative Stollen:

  1. Take one large orange and slice into thin slices

  2. Cut all slices in half

  3. Place Stollen in bowl or oblong dish and decorate the cake’s edges with the oranges, rounded side up

  4. Sprinkle a handful of cranberries around the edges to finish
